The DLE is an application on the Defence Gateway.  Therefore, all access to the DLE is through the Defence Gateway Single Sign On. 

All personnel who are registered on JPA, HRMS, Westminster or Magellan, or contractors with a DII/MODNet account (ie @mod.gov.uk email addresses), must create an account directly with Defence Gateway (DGW). Please refer to the Defence Gateway homepage: www.defencegateway.mod.uk for assistance.

If this does not apply the DLE Team can create a Defence Gateway account which only gives access to the DLE, not the other applications on Defence Gateway. 

Applications must be made by a sponsor who is of minimum OF3/C2 rank and is located within the establishment for which the contractor has been engaged. 

It is important to stipulate whether these are Phase One recruits, with service numbers not yet recognised by the system, or not. This will effect whether they can self-enrol or not when accessing the DLE.

To apply for a Defence Gateway account, the sponsor is to complete this spreadsheet, having first read the attached notes. Role email addresses will not be accepted, please provide a person specific address. Please note that incomplete or incorrectly completed forms will be returned.

All account requests will be actioned within 2 working days of receipt.
